New season darlings women's edit

Introducing the young artists shaping the next decade of London’s creative scene. We go behind the scenes on our latest shoot and meet some young, up-and-coming artists – and natural enthusiasts – exploring the wonderful world of creativity.

By Gianluca Longo

These bright young things are wearing some of the best newly arrived seasonal pieces from the Village, chosen to reflect their own unique styles. The inspiring looks speak for themselves: classic meets contemporary; bright colours mix with natural tones and investment pieces are paired with eye-catching fashion statements.

Giorgia Ascolani

The video artist likes to play with images, sometimes in unorthodox, rebellious and disruptive ways. Pop art, Japanese comics and Italian Renaissance masterpieces are her main inspirations. Yet, all her works have great energy and dynamism. At just 26 years old, she’s worked with several fashion brands, creating content and moving images for them. Perhaps that’s why she has a softer, if not more classic, approach to fashion? Quality and timelessness are her top criteria when choosing clothes, like this chic Chloé ensemble that she wears very well.

Alma Berrow

Amazon-like Alma has a unique sense of style, combining playfulness with seriousness, much like in her cheeky ceramic works. At 29 years old, she’s already considered a key artist among the new generation in London, and her pieces are highly sought after. Alma feels most at home in an all-in-one, like the Isabel Marant look she’s wearing, in washed-out denim with ruffles.

Bee Beardsworth

Busy Bee fascinates with her eclectic interests: from modelling to editing magazines. The foxy 25-year-old enjoys a playful approach to fashion, trying a different style for every mood. The perfectly cut Balmain blazer, worn over jeans, gives her a chic French look that’s sexy and cheeky. While a soft patterned dress from Etro with fringed boots and an Argentinian-style hat transform her into a bohemian heroine. Fashion is real fun for Bee.

Chiara di Carcaci

Girl-about-town Chiara loves a party as much as she loves designing objects. This winter, the 26-year-old will be busy working on her new venture ‘Fatto a Mano’, a collection of hand-painted plates, and plans to spend her evenings dancing in fancy statement-wear like this multicoloured lurex Missoni ensemble, paired with dazzling Aquazzura platforms.
