New season darlings men's edit

Introducing the young artists shaping the next decade of London’s creative scene. We go behind the scenes on our latest shoot and meet some young, up-and-coming artists – and natural enthusiasts – exploring the wonderful world of creativity.

By Gianluca Longo

These bright young things are wearing some of the best newly arrived seasonal pieces from the Village, chosen to reflect their own unique styles. The inspiring looks speak for themselves: classic meets contemporary; bright colours mix with natural tones and investment pieces are paired with eye-catching fashion statements.

Giulio Michelucci

Giulio likes colours. And he loves to have fun. In particular with the homewares he creates. Giulio’s Italian heritage, mixed with years spent in London, gives him a great balance of style, seen with this China-blue Paul Smith suit worn over an Etro printed shirt. It couldn’t be more him. And when he wants to have even more fun, he might choose something like this black leather biker jacket by Off-White. He also likes to spend time with his boyfriend Angelo Maccaferri, who he met in London. The two are real ‘check mates’, Angelo in a tartan Paul Smith suit and Giulio wearing a plaid Vivienne Westwood pattern.

Michele di Robilant

For the intellectual Michele Robilant, it’s goodbye modelling and hello career in the art world. As of September, he’s joined London’s Gagosian gallery, and will have access to some of the most important works of contemporary art. But when he thinks about fashion, he prefers timeless looks that go well with his classical Italianate beauty. Salvatore Ferragamo’s designs perfectly reflect his style, with a twist.

Tancredi di Carcaci

Always-so-serious ceramicist Tancredi spends most of his time in a pottery studio in north-west London. He started creating his work – inspired by religious figures and totem-like statues – when he was 19 years old and now, at 24, has already shown at three prestigious exhibitions. Although he experiments with mixed media in the studio, when it comes to fashion, he chooses classic suits, like the one from Brioni here, worn with a white T-shirt and trainers to make it modern.

Josh Ludlow

31-year-old Josh has entertained at some of the best parties in Europe. As a DJ, his selection of music brings all kinds of people together on the dancefloor: from remote festivals to swanky parties in Mayfair. For Josh, fashion must be fun. Even a classic black suit has to have a funkier touch, like this Givenchy jacket with beading details and open-vented trousers.

Theo Hue-Williams

Theo’s piercing blue eyes will enchant anyone who steps in front of him. Although he grew up in an art-obsessed family, the 21-year-old has decided to work in film production. Brimming with confidence for his future projects and fashion choices, he wears a Givenchy cotton shirt as blue as his eyes.
