Inside Rosemary Ferguson’s spring refresh

With the new season just around the corner, we caught up with the nutritionist, naturopath and author to find out her top tips for a healthy spring reboot.

01

Start with a power hour

Inspired by Hal Elrod’s book, The Miracle Morning, Rosemary suggests forming six new habits: meditation, affirmations, visualisation, exercise, reading and journaling to improve your physical and emotional health. “Rather than dreading the alarm going off and starting on the backfoot, I’m ahead of the game,” says Rosemary.

02

Update your menu

Rosemary encourages you to step outside your comfort zone when it comes to cooking. Switch up your daily menu and take on the challenge to eat 50 portions of fruit and vegetables in a week. For a nutritious boost, pack your plate with a variety of healthy greens, tasty herbs and seasonal fruits.

Keep it balanced

“I do something bad nearly every day,” says Rosemary on tackling everyday cravings. While good quality whole foods and plenty of fruit and vegetables are key to a balanced diet, it’s also important “to enjoy what you’re eating”. Don’t be hard on yourself for having a treat.

04

Sleep tight

“People are beginning to understand the worth of sleep,” adds Rosemary. “One of the biggest disrupters of our sleep is blue screens.” We’re all guilty of taking a break by moving from one screen to another, which is why technology-free time is so important. For a more restful night, try doing a complete digital detox and turn off your devices at least two hours before you go to sleep.
