Creativity, modern craftsmanship and personalisation are at the heart of everything accessories designer Anya Hindmarch does. Giving customers the opportunity to create their own artwork, her vast range of bags, travel accessories, organisers, wallets and phone accessories has garnered a cult following from those who value British design at its most contemporary and quirky.
After perfecting his craft at Valentino, Tod’s and Jimmy Choo, Álvaro González launched his eponymous leather accessories line in 2013. Featuring men’s and women’s sandals, bags and small leather essentials, each piece is exquisitely crafted in Florentine artisanal workshops and made from vegetable tanned calf, suede or exotics, all developed by specialist Italian tanneries.
Clean lines, impeccable fit and sport luxe details define British brand Amanda Wakeley’s ready-to-wear collections, which include a range of beautifully cut kaftans. Inspired by the eclecticism and craftsmanship of the cultures encountered by the world traveller, each piece features rich textures and stylish draping, designed to take women though every aspect of life with effortless chic.
Anna Mason trained under Karl Lagerfeld in Paris and worked at Max Mara and Valentino before launching her own fashion brand, simply entitled AM, in 2012. Delicate florals and feminine silhouettes are the mainstay of her collection, which pairs period-style puff blouses with high-waisted fit-and-flare trousers for a contemporary twist.

In 2000 Maria Busquets set out on a journey to create a luxury child and baby clothing line made from the world’s finest fabrics. English accessories designer Anya Hindmarch’s foray into candles offers a hedonistically happy journey of olfactory memory-making. Infused with Anya’s playful, modern signature style, this hand-poured collection is the perfect complement to the finely nuanced candles created according to an age-old artisanal recipe by 370 year-old Parisian candle company, Cire Trudon.
Modern spectacle and sunglasses maker, Cubitts was founded in King’s Cross, London, in 2013. The company’s handcrafted frames are constructed with custom pins designed by Lewis Cubitt, one of the three brothers who inspired the brand name. Each frame goes through 50 stages of production including four separate stages of polishing which accounts for their signature lustre.
Synonymous with versatile yet powerful femininity, Erdem Moralioglu’s womenswear label is defined by its creator’s use of experimental textiles, vibrant prints and detailed craftsmanship. The label has assembled an impressive array of awards since its 2005 launch, including the British Fashion Council’s Womenswear Designer of the Year Award, and is sold in over 170 of the world’s most exclusive retailers.
The epitome of British luxury for those with an adventurous spirit, Globe-Trotter’s range of handcrafted luggage and leather travel accessories is produced in Hertfordshire by artisans using manufacturing methods that date back to the Victorian era. From stilettos and pumps to everyday flats, the designs are instantly recognisable by their flawless fit, signature strap detailing and wave-like curves that appear throughout every collection.
Born in Athens, Mary Katrantzou graduated from Central Saint Martins in 2008. Her graduation show, which featured trompe l’oeil prints of oversized jewellery on jersey-bonded dresses, took the industry by storm, immediately securing a number of prestigious stockists. Since then her brand has evolved to include innovative fabric, beadwork and embroidery in structured yet feminine silhouettes.
Born in Lebanon, raised in Paris and based in London, Mira Mikati realised her brand as a return to fun fashion, rooting her designs in a melange of smile-inducing detailing and classic tailoring. A gleeful celebration of colour and cartoon graphics, her carefree-meets-cool aesthetic has garnered a cult following among fashion-forward celebs and street-style trendsetters alike.
Unable to find the perfect set of earrings to go with a designer dress, Patricia Cobiella simply made them herself – and the rest is history. Living between London, Madrid, Stockholm and New York, the designer travels to Asia and India to source both inspiration and materials. “I made what I wanted to wear,” says Serena Bute, who has been designing clothes for nearly 30 years. It was only recently, however, that the London-based designer put her own name on the label. As coveted by cool kids as it is by style-conscious parents, the range has expanded to include everything from dresses, kaftans and playsuits for girls to cool linens and T-shirts for boys.
The delicate, tactile aesthetic of Finnish-born designer Teija Eilola’s womenswear label merges experimental cutting with modern tailoring and couture-inspired techniques. Launched in 2012, the London-based brand favours clean silhouettes made from premium European and Japanese fabrics.
