Waddesdon Manor

Waddesdon, a French Renaissance-style château, was built in the 1870s by Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild to house his art treasures and to entertain the fashionable world.

By Bicester Village

The gardens are full of colour and variety throughout the year, with formal gardens opening up to rolling parkland with hidden glades, magnificent woodland and picturesque views. Hear rare birds call from the ornate Aviary, tuck into an afternoon tea in the historic Manor restaurant and see 12,000 bottles of fine wines in the cellars. Enjoy an exciting programme of events and exhibitions each year, while families can have an adventure in the woodland playground. At the gates of Waddesdon, find The Five Arrows, a Grade II listed boutique hotel and 2 AA Rosette restaurant.
