Flower power

Our pick of the season’s florals…

Mini ditsy petals and giant, bold blooms. Pretty pastels and all-over lacey florals. Flowers are popping up everywhere this season. Is it any surprise after a spring spent indoors? Certainly there’s no denying the mood-boosting power of a flower-strewn dress and nothing tempts us out into the fresh air and sunny skies quite like a garden-inspired wardrobe.

Take Maje’s aptly titled ‘In the mood for sun’ collection, which brims with flowers throughout the 19-piece capsule drop: from the coral-hued off-the-shoulder mini dress to the barely-there lilac shirt and coordinating midi skirt. These pieces are made for wandering barefoot across sun-scorched flagstones with a cool drink in hand.

Over at BOSS, petals take centre stage in a new occasion wear selection – with colourful designs for the bold as well as more subtle embroidered dresses for the flower shy. Whether it’s a long-overdue picnic in the park with friends or an opportunity to finally host family for an alfresco dinner, BOSS’s Diplissee dress – with pleats and a pretty lavender print – or its sleeveless Delinina dress, crafted from pale blue embroidered lace with a tie waist, both channel this hot summer style.

Meanwhile, the hero piece in Claudie Pierlot’s ‘Blue Summer’ collection – filled with tailored linen separates and beach-worthy tote bags – is the floral swimsuit (modelled here by @Lena.Simonne). Pair this one-piece with ivory Bermuda shorts and sandals and you’re off.

Elsewhere its ‘Modern Ceremony’ capsule collection features a more delicate take on the trend with a guipure-lace jumpsuit that combines cropped trousers with a V-neckline and tonal buttons for top-to-toe all-white elegance.
