The tree of delusions
The tree of delusions

There’s nothing more magical than a Christmas tree. This year, Las Rozas Village’s tree is filled with wishes.

The wishes are those of critically ill children supported by Make-A-Wish Spain®, represented by small hand-drawn illustrations and inserted into transparent baubles full of magic.

Mireia, a haematology patient, wants to be the queen of the animals; Irene dreams of being a make-up artist; Hugo, a paediatric neurology patient, wants to meet Santa in the North Pole; and Judith, a haematology patient, wishes to be a Disney princess. Here at Las Rozas Village, we wanted these young children and their families to have a special Christmas, and to enjoy the magic and excitement of the festivities. So, we dedicated a wish to every bauble that hangs from our wishing tree, to raise awareness and demonstrate the power of hope.

The Magic Christmas Market

Each of the families supported by Make-A-Wish Spain® face difficult situations every day, especially during the health crisis we’re currently experiencing. Every day they face the uncertainty of their child's illness, adjusting their personal and professional life to new treatments routines and demanding safety protocols, which are vital. For them, this new normal isn’t new. They wear masks, maintain social distance, and remain isolated for years at a time.

We want to show these children that, with hope and positivity, anything is possible. And thanks to the generous donations of our guests we’ll continue to help to transform many more lives together.
