At La Source, chef Ralf Berendsen serves refined haute cuisine creations that prove that opposites can attract and that global culinary influences can be combined in perfect harmony. Berendsen joined the restaurant’s team in 2011, and was awarded his first Michelin star just two years later: his reward for being a self-confessed perfectionist. Food lovers make regular pilgrimages to this two-Michelin star restaurant in Lanaken to indulge in the chef’s signature dishes, including the Trio of Langoustine with Tandoori Masala, Miso and Couscous, and French Foie Gras with Chinese Yuzu Tangerine and Ginger Beer.

The restaurant’s ambitious team is led by Maître-Sommelier Thijs van Sambeeck, who has a passion for hospitality, quality and innovation. Van Sambeeck is also the man responsible for the restaurant’s superb selection of fine wines, with the La Source wine list currently featuring around 400 different wines. Van Sambeeck uses his passion to advise diners on the selection of wines chosen to accompany chef Ralph Berendsen’s dishes.

La Source, located in Lanaken, overlooks beautiful park-like gardens as well as Hoge Kempen National Park.
