Did you know that 95% of the whopping 23.5 billion shoes produced every year ends up in landfill?

Now, by simply bringing your old sneakers to the Village for recycling, you can do your bit for the planet – and, as a special thank you, we’ll treat you to a 10% saving on our new arrivals.

We’ve teamed up with FastfeetGrinded, an innovative organisation working to transform the international footwear industry into a circular economy through a unique zero-waste technology that makes shoes from shoes.

So why not give your old sneakers a new lease of life? Plus, for every pair recycled, we’ll donate €1 to our charity partner, Make-a-Wish Flanders.

Take a picture when you deposit your old sneakers in the Village recycling boxes.
STEP 2
Post your picture with #MaasmechelenVillage on your social-media account.
STEP 3
Show your picture at the Village Tourist Information Centre.
STEP 4
Receive a VIP Day Pass granting you a 10% saving on new arrivals.
