01 Castañer

Since the founding of its first workshop in 1927, the Catalan shoemaker has focused its efforts on turning typically rural sandals into sophisticated, exquisitely crafted footwear. With its first big milestone, the creation of the first wedge espadrille with Yves Saint Laurent in the 1970s, the brand went down in history to make this humble shoe a favourite of celebrities and royals both historically and today.

THE PEGASUS

Kaleidoscopic prints, tailoring and bright colours are as recognisable as ETRO’s Pegasus emblem. Founded in 1968, the Milan-born brand offers everything from jewellery and footwear to fragrances and men's and women's collections, all influenced by the distinctive 'Gimmo' vision that makes the brand recognisable across the world.

02 ETRO

Gerolamo 'Gimmo' Etro's wanderlust changed the face of fashion. On a trip to India, the Italian economist discovered paisley, the print that would become ETRO’s hallmark. Conceived as a family business, the key to its success is remaining faithful to the clan’s origins. Now, this challenge is in the hands of Marco de Vincenzo, the first creative director without the Etro surname, to push the label’s heritage towards the future.

03 FERRAGAMO

In 1914, after leaving Italy for the United States, Salvatore Ferragamo opened his shoe repair and manufacturing workshop in Hollywood; the rest is fashion history. From the rainbow sandal to cage heels or crafting footwear with raffia and nylon, each of his unusual designs earned him the nickname ‘the shoemaker of dreams’ and became pieces of fashion legacy that still inspire today's masters.

THE FAVOURITE

Ferragamo had the whole of Hollywood at his feet. Greta Garbo, Audrey Hepburn and Marilyn Monroe were some of the actresses who relied on his designs to take their first steps in the industry. Since then, the glamour and style of Hollywood’s golden age continues to accompany the Italian firm.

OPPOSITES ATTRACT

Zadig&Voltaire’s modern concept of luxury is best shown through the brand’s ability to pair contrasts. Think cloud-like cashmere edged with lace, supple leather with metal hardware, or cosy sweatshirts worn under tailored jackets – all adding to the brand's signature contemporary silhouette.

04 Zadig&Voltaire

Master of effortless rock’n’roll chic, Zadig&Voltaire allows the unique personality of those who wear its pieces to shine through. This is demonstrated by the French brand’s concept of intertwined feminine, masculine and unisex styles. Just as the philosopher Voltaire freed himself from the dogmas of his time, Zadig&Voltaire does the same with those of today.
